SP—CE is a trans-disciplinary research and design practice helping businesses and communities navigate transition. Focusing on research-by-design and business strategy, we offer holistic services for analyzing, planning, visualizing and managing circular economy projects.

SP—CE is led by Su Bhatti, a Toronto-based researcher, designer and advocate. Su builds from extensive experience in architecture, urban design, planning, development and data science. His early career brought him to the Netherlands, where he worked on the national flood management strategy, regional energy landscape studies, urban design guidelines, and municipal densification plans across Europe, Africa and South America.

In 2020, Su co-founded Proof Housing with close friends Kyle Brill, and Jack Lipson. Proof is a pioneering company focused on developing circular and adaptive building systems to address Canada's housing challenge.

As of 2023, Su serves as Co-chair of the Dutch Canadian Circular Alliance, a collective that connects leaders across Canada and the Netherlands to accelerate circularity in the built environment.
